Know what it is you want to achieve other than just a new pc. I always want a pc I can upgrade to faster speeds with newer components. Often people make rash decisions due to a salesperson or due to lack of knowledge. It may delay you a day or two but the rewards will be much greater. what you motherboard choice, must be macthed with cpu (processor) for AMD or Intel, you can find the right price for your budget.

cpu (Processor)

For cpu you can choice AMD cpu or Intel PENTIUM cpu , amd or pentium had the diffrent charater & price. you can choice or compare the price your self.
you can choice with:

AMD Sempron type, opetron type, atlon type had : 2200+ , to 3400+, or higher. or you choice with 64bit model this is new type processor from Amd, but right now intel had too.

Intel Pentium : 2.4ghz, 3.0.ghz, 0r higher, intel some type had Hyper-Threading, or 64bit.

amd or intel you can choice what type with : Socket 478 (A) ( old model) , Socket 775, or Socket 939, and with 32bit (old typed) or 64bit this type had expensive price now.

for standar user and good price you can choice amd Amd sempron with 2800+ with soccet 478, or right now amd not product again socket A, or 2600+ socket 775.
